Our mats are carefully crafted by weaving a Japanese Rush Grass double layer top, and baking the dried rice straw fill at high temperatures. They are then sewn together with a black fabric border, bound and by organic twine. Our Tatami have a moisture resistant barrier at the foundation. The traditional mat measures 90 cm x 180 cm (35 1/2" x 70.8" x 2").
